The World Cup semifinal is eight days away and Atlanta is still running at full sprint. The energy on the trail this week has been unlike anything I've ever seen in this city. We live here and we are lucky. Get out there this weekend. 🍑

Two spots. Both BeltLine. Both the move.
Your fuel stops for World Cup semifinals week.
A former train station turned '70s-inspired taqueria right on the Eastside Trail in Reynoldstown — and one of the most versatile spots on the entire BeltLine. Plants hanging from the ceiling, gravel patios, all-day dining, and frozen cocktails that were designed for Atlanta summers. Tacos on soft housemade tortillas, incredible baked goods, and a crowd that always brings the energy. The Halal Food Fest is steps away this weekend. Start here first.
BeetleCat's nautical-inspired seafood patio in Inman Park is one of the best spots for a late afternoon near the BeltLine. The oyster happy hour is the move — and the S.S. Minnow platter (six oysters, six shrimp, crab salad, ceviche, snapper crudo) is one of the most satisfying ways to graze through a menu in Atlanta. The blackened mahi sandwich and fish and chips for a follow-up. Outdoor patio, cold drinks, BeltLine around the corner.
New Realm sits directly on the Eastside BeltLine with one of the best rooftop views of the Atlanta skyline anywhere in the city. This Saturday they're throwing a free 4th of July party — walk right off the trail, no cover, come hungry. Craft beer, wood-fired pizza, the famous double beef burger, live music, and the dog-friendly beer garden open all afternoon.

CeeLo Green July 7. Ludacris July 14.
Both free. Both ATL legends.
The official FIFA Fan Festival at Centennial Olympic Park runs through July 17 — between live match broadcasts, major artists take the stage including CeeLo Green on July 7 and Atlanta's own Ludacris on July 14. General admission is free — register online in advance. These aren't tribute acts. These are the real thing, in downtown Atlanta, the week the World Cup semifinal is at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

"Hey Atlanta. Charlie here. Cavapoo. Trail mascot. The Halal Food Festival is on the Eastside Trail this weekend and I have been briefed that the food smells incredible. I will be there. Wearing my jersey. Cheering for the dogs who need homes. Adopt one before the semifinal. 🐾🍑"

This week: Atlanta Muslim Festival Collective 🌍
The Atlanta Muslim Festival Collective moved the Atlanta Summer Halal Food Festival to the BeltLine this year — and that decision says everything. Founder Hasnain Lakhani said they were overwhelmed by the response to the first festival, and expanding to two days and moving to the BeltLine allows them to continue growing in an environment where everyone is welcome — both Muslim and non-Muslim alike. 50+ vendors. World Cup weekend. Eastside Trail. This is Atlanta doing what Atlanta does best: bringing the world together with food. 🌍🍑
The semifinal is July 14.
Atlanta built for this moment.
